SGA:
- Sebastian Chavez Executive Vice President of student government.
- Two structures:
- Senate: Debate on legislation. Decide to pursue things like this as an org
- EX: Legislation to create a Women’s Center on campus
- Committes and boards:
- EX: Trace for co-op
- These do the most of the work for student government. You don’t need to be a senator to join these.
- Student Involvement Board and Finance board are semi-independent.
- Finance board:
- Changing how travel funding is organized.
- Actively seeking feedback.
- Space issue:
- Difficult thing?
- Challenging to find space for anything.
Club funding methods:
- Marty claims CSI and SABO are awesome.
- SABO is less concerned with allocation than SFB (Studend Finance Board) is.
- Annual budget:
- SAF fund financed.
- Spending report due soon
- Due Mid March (maybe March 13th)
- Potentially give $330 per student, on average
- Check out the SFB manual (Michael should read)
- Where budget’s live:
- Sweet tomatoes can bill out of budget (event food)
- Reprographics (for printing things)
- Spending:
- NUCard: What is this? Might be the same as the PCard.
- PCard:
- Marty thinks our advisor could use their PCard. But there is stuff to do on the backend for them?
- Good for recurring subscriptions.
- Sponsorships:
- Donations (monetary and goods/services)
