SGA:

• Sebastian Chavez Executive Vice President of student government.
  • Industrial engineer
• Two structures:
  • Senate: Debate on legislation. Decide to pursue things like this as an org
    • EX: Legislation to create a Women’s Center on campus
  • Committes and boards:
    • EX: Trace for co-op
    • These do the most of the work for student government. You don’t need to be a senator to join these.
  • Student Involvement Board and Finance board are semi-independent.
    • Finance board:
      • Changing how travel funding is organized.
      • Actively seeking feedback.
    • Space issue:
      • Difficult thing?
      • Challenging to find space for anything.

Club funding methods:

• Marty claims CSI and SABO are awesome.
  • SABO is less concerned with allocation than SFB (Studend Finance Board) is.
• Annual budget:
  • SAF fund financed.
  • Spending report due soon
  • Due Mid March (maybe March 13th)
  • Potentially give $330 per student, on average
  • Check out the SFB manual (Michael should read)
• Where budget’s live:
  • Sweet tomatoes can bill out of budget (event food)
    • Reprographics (for printing things)

  • NUCard: What is this? Might be the same as the PCard.
  • PCard:
    • Marty thinks our advisor could use their PCard. But there is stuff to do on the backend for them?
